Better composition

Avoid common Bluesky crop problems

Keep faces, logos and essential text away from vulnerable edges. Profile imagery may display through a circular mask even when the uploaded file is square. Wide covers can reveal different areas on phones and desktop screens, so the central region should carry the most important content.

  • Preview circular profile masks before exporting.
  • Treat banner edges as flexible background.
  • Inspect text at realistic mobile size.
  • Use verified safe areas only where available.

Image quality that survives publishing

Begin with a source at least as detailed as the largest target. Avoid repeated JPEG saves, use PNG for sharp flat artwork or transparency, and choose high-quality JPG for photography. Keep the original master so future platform changes do not force you to reuse a compressed social download.
